Egg of Columbus

At this point there were only two options. Run or die. Well, the second wasn’t really an option; it was more like an exit with nothing very clear behind the door. The first option though, wasn’t really appealing either, because running will always be a middle point rather than a purpose in itself. While dying is not a purpose either, it does seem like, after we die, people look back on our life and think that we had a point that we aimed for and had reached it. Even though most of us know things are not quite like that. So even if I’m sure you will say RUN is what I SHOULD have done, it’s not. It’s not DIE either, though, is FIGHT BACK. Now you will say that this is not fair, that just a few seconds ago I told you that there were only 2 options left. And that coming up with a third now it’s cheating, but even though you didn’t knew the situation, yet you still made a decision in running, just because we all have a bias of believing that we can make big decision if we are faced with danger, when in fact, most of the time we can analyze big decisions in other people’s perspective, but we take time, too much time, when it comes to our own decisions, and most of the time, we don’t take a decision, we let time decide. Saying that we could have find that solution instead of recognizing someone’s brilliant moment goes at least as far as Columbus’s egg story [having his discovering of America seem like anyone else could have done, Columbus asked for an egg to be brought to the table and told the man at the table to have the egg stand on its end, and no one knew how to do it, then Columbus took the egg and broke it slightly at the end and the egg stood up]. Fighting back is the option where we don’t let the time decide, we don’t die and we don’t run. It’s the way of the warrior. It’s the only way we can survive among other 7 billion souls. So at this point there was actually one viable solution, Fight back, or just fight. And this moment is from the day you’re born until the day you die. What you fight for or what you fight against is a decision that changes your life, so you have to make it wisely. So don’t believe if someone tells you there were only 2 options. Don’t be biased by words and try to find the meaning behind them.
